Garrick Porteous is an experienced DP World Tour professional from Newcastle, UK, who has competed in 121 events on Europe’s top tier. He is a two-time winner on the Challenge Tour, claiming titles at the 2017 Prague City Challenge and the 2024 Abu Dhabi Challenge, across 138 Challenge Tour events. He also secured a EuroPro Tour victory at the FSC Invitational in 2014. Garrick has featured on golf’s biggest stages, with appearances at The Open Championship in 2013 (Muirfield) and 2019 (Royal Portrush), as well as The Masters Tournament at Augusta National in 2014.
Before turning professional, Garrick was one of the UK’s top amateur golfers. He represented Great Britain & Ireland in the 2013 Walker Cup at the National Golf Links of America and the 2012 St Andrews Trophy in Portmarnock. As a key member of the England Elite Men’s Squad from 2011 to 2013, he contributed to victories at the European Amateur Team Championship, European Nations Championship, European Challenge, and the Home Internationals. He also represented England on the world stage at the 2012 Eisenhower Trophy. His amateur success was matched by a standout collegiate career at the University of Tennessee, where he captained the NCAA Division I team and helped lead the Volunteers to three national championship appearances.
