David McKidd

David McKidd hails from Newcastle in the United Kingdom and started working in the pro shop at Ponteland golf club at the age of 16 and turning professional in 2001 at the age of 21.

In his 5 years at Otley in Yorkshire as head assistant, he developed a large client base for golf coaching, many of which followed when he moved onto Lightcliffe golf club as Head Professional in 2010. At Lightcliffe, he played a pivotal role in creating ladies and junior programs which enhanced each section of membership for the club and taught a wide variety of groups and individuals.

He likes to keep the game simple, fun and implement changes using varied practice drills people can use on course, at the range or even at home or in the office. 20+ years of golf coaching has helped his players have a better understanding of how their swing works for them which aids the progression of their game. He believes golf can be enjoyed by anyone who is willing to learn and progress their skill levels.
